There are a variety of things to do at GCRM! Our train shed includes twelve (12) rail cars that you can view from the exterior, of which ten (10) rail cars are are open to the public to go inside of, view the history, and take casual photos in. Many of our rail cars also include running videos to watch in accordance to the car. You can also take a tour of the U.S. No. 1 'Ferdinand Magellan' for $20 per person. We also display many pieces of railroad equipment and other awesome historical artifacts! Towards the back, we have a model display room in which multiple scales can be run, and Thomas Play Tables for the little ones to get a chance and play. In our plaza area, we have picnic tables to give our visitors the chance to bring their lunch and eat it on our property, and a sandbox for kids to enjoy. In our museum store, we have a Richmond Naval Air Station exhibit to view. We also offer train rides on the weekends, and free admission on the first Saturday of the month

If weather permits, our 'Link' ride is available all day on weekdays at 11am, 1pm, and 3pm. On weekends the Link is available at the top of every hour! It is a 10-minute ride that goes around the back-side of our property, and offers a view of our rail yard. Our 'Link' is a 2 foot gauge locomotive. The ride is $10.00 per person. Our Standard Gauge rides operate on the First Saturday of the Month! It is a 25-minute ride that goes around our whole property. You have the choice of riding in the caboose or passenger car, or in the cab with the engineer! Standard Gauge: $15.00 per person Cab Ride: $20.00 per person Our railroad speeder runs every First Saturday of the Month + select Saturdays (when available). It is a 20 minute ride that goes around our property. Our speeder ride is $10.00 per person.

Yes, you can take casual photos of your visit at the museum! - HOWEVER, to the Gold Coast Railroad Museum, a photo shoot is an ocassion when a photographer, and/or person(s), take pictures of person(s), models, families, and/or famous people using a camera, professional camera, and/or cell phone to be used in a newspaper, maagzine, website, portfolio, personal portfolio, portraits, social media, and sale. Photo shoots include, but are not limited to: -Weddings -Quinceñeras -Family shoots -Birthday shoots -School projects -Any photo session including outfit and/or make-up changes, and anything that contains collections belonging to the Gold Coast Railroad Museum within these lines including its railcars and props can be CONSIDERED a photo shoot. *The Gold Coast Railroad Museum reserves the right to refuse ANY photo shoot services that do not follow our rules and regulations, including the financial awareness of our photo shoot fees.

Gold Coast Railroad Museum is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays as well as Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Day. Tune in to our Facebook, Instagram, or our website if you plan on visiting around these times for specific closing dates.

Our free admission, or 'Free First Saturday' is every FIRST Saturday of the month.

We are just adjacent to Zoo Miami down Zoo Drive (second entrance to your right!), but are completely seperate from the zoo. We do, however, offer a discount towards admission for zoo members with proof of membership!
